Abrasive cutting, commonly called water cutting – Water-Jet is the most modern method of material treatment, which allows precise cutting of every material.

This innovative technology uses focused energy of a water stream, compressed to the pressure of about 4000 bars with a particulate abrasive material, which is then directed through the cutting head to the work piece at supersonic speed. All this is done with the use of CNC technology, after proper design preparation in a CAD type program.

Water jet cutting is an advanced and extremely efficient technology that guarantees perfect quality of machining with the accuracy in tenths of a millimeter of the following materials:

  • natural stone (marble, granite, travertine, onyx) and artificial (conglomerate),
  • non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, bronze, brass, titanium),
  • structural steel, tool steel, alloy steel and chrome steel (stainless and acid-resistant),
  • ceramics, sandstone, terracotta,
  • regular and bulletproof glass, solid and laminated, mirrors,
  • rubber and plastics,
  • wood and wood-like materials,
  • resin composites,
  • nylon,
  • graphite,
  • carbon fiber.

Worktable surface allows cutting materials to a maximum size of 3500 mm x 2200 mm, with a thickness up to 100 mm, depending on the type and hardness of the material.

When designing the details designated to water-jet cutting, the only one factor that has to be taken into consideration is that the minimal internal radius in the corner is between 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm, and the minimal diameter of the holes is 1.5 mm.
